OK, Sam, enough with the vodka shots out of your toy cups. Daddy has a headache.
Oh yeah, Mommy, that's the spot...that's the spot!
Ha, ha , ha...I have no idea what this funny lady is saying...guess I'll humor her as long as I get the horsey rides!
Forget you Dad, I'm the real looker in the family!
Today we meet! Yahoo! Words can't really express the joy and emotion of meeting Sergei. We prepared ourselves that he might be afraid of us, and especially of Darrick since they aren't around many men. However, once they handed him to us, he acted like it was the most normal thing in the world. He is very snuggly and cuddly. He is also "all boy", as he couldn't care less about the stuffed animals we brought for him to play with, and went right for the loud toys that he could smash and bang around. He is curious, alert, makes great eye-contact, and has an engaging little gapped-toothed smile that melts your heart. I think we're goners... Our translators suggested we bring cookies to bribe him with for our first meeting. He was so easy and happy that we forgot about feeding him treats until our second meeting that day. I wasn't crazy about his first snack being sugar coated nastiness, so I opted to instead feed him the baby vegetable crisps we packed from home. You should have seen the face on this kid upon tasting them! He scrunched up his face and stuck his tongue out like I'd fed him battery acid. As a matter of fact, he looked just like his Daddy after eating asparagus... |
